Blanka’s Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition Character Intro suggests potential reasons for Blanka and Laura’s electricity

Capcom has recently released the character introduction video for the classic Street Fighter Blanka. It is pretty cool to see another original World Warrior back in SF5 and Blanka is looking as feral as ever.

One thing that had always interested me about Laura, a brazilian fighter who also uses electricity, was her relationship, if any, to Blanka. The main reason being to find a reason why and/or how Blanka emits electricity. I have always had this question on my mind since I first played Street Fighter and I think I just got a little closer.

All of Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition’s new features

The first major update to Street Fighter V launched on January 16th, 2018, ushering in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition.

Unlike previous updates to the game, this one adds in enough new features to consider Street Fighter V as worthy of its first extended title. It is an extremely common practice in Street Fighter’s 30+ years of history to re-release titles after a large update.

SFV has quite the way to go if it wants to catch up to SFII though

With the amount of new things added into the game, from major features like the arcade mode to gameplay balance changes, there can be a lot to digest.

And this is what this post is for. To put all the features of Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition in one convenient place.

Sakura will be available to play for free from 1-16 to 1-23 in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition and why that’s awesome

Capcom’s blog recently announced that Sakura will be having a free trial week upon her release on January 16th.

Players who do use Sakura during this time period should note the message below.

Any EXP and Fight Money you earn with Sakura during this time will disappear on January 23 when the free period ends. However, if you purchase Sakura any time afterwards, the earned EXP and Fight Money will automatically be credited towards your account. If you purchase the Season 3 Character Pass during this free period, the EXP and Fight Money will not disappear. Sakura will be purchasable individually after the trial ends.

This is not the first time Capcom has done this with new DLC characters for Street Fighter V. For reasons unknown, Capcom decided to stop the trial weeks after Alex and Guile were released for the game. It seems that Capcom has decided that to bring back the feature and I am super glad that they are.
